Biography

My dad, Mike Lemont, was a modest man.  He had no idea the impact he left on those around him because he led by following:  following through and following up.
He was so conditioned to follow through, that  five days before his brain biopsy he ran four miles.  After the biopsy he could no longer walk without assistance, so he rode his exercise bike with my mom and I on either side to hold him up.

He was born and lived most of his life in the Pacific Northwest where he went to college, got married, had two little girls, went to seminary, and pastored his first two churches. The last part of his life was spent in California's central valley at his third church where he gained two sons-in-law, two grandchildren and a deeper understanding of what it means to walk by faith.

I could go on about a million different memories that made him so amazing, like teaching left-handed layups and how to drive a stick-shift...or hiking up Lassen and Half Dome, but instead I'll just say that when God got a hold of him, he lived kindness.  Not even a nine month battle with brain cancer could shake it.  I'm so honored to share this blog with you, so that maybe you will glimpse a tiny piece of his passion for living God's love.
